Application of Iron Ore Tailings and Phosphogypsum to Create Artificial Rockfills Used in Rock-Filled Concrete

Rock-filled concrete (RFC) has good performance in terms of energy savings, cost reduction, and CO2 emissions as a novel massive construction technology. There have been studies into replacing natural rocks RFC with large blocks solid waste, this method used on several sites. However, the granular powdery waste utilized is limited, consequence special requirement self-compacting (SCC) RFC. The goal paper to increase amount Iron ore tailing (IOT) phosphogypsum (PG) were separately waste. modified PG, ground blast-furnace slag (GBFS), steel slag, cement clinker are combined form parathion gypsum specific proportion, ratio GBFS, being 47:47:2:2. To replace RFC, artificial rockfills made IOT dosage formed using three methods: compressing, roller compacting, normal vibrating. When compressive strength material costs types compared, compressing best for maximizing IOT. In rockfills, mass fraction 83.3%, total 99.3%.
